This is an internet simulation game based on the securities
market. Here, though, the securities are movies and movie stars. Movies are stocks, and
their current values are based on the expected box office gross in the first four weeks of
the movie's release; at which time, the movie stock is cashed out. Movie Stars are bonds,
and their current values are formulated by the average box-office gross of the movies
they've been in within the last three years. That's a very brief summary. There are finer
details like IPO's, Options, Funds and with similarities to their Wall Street
counterparts.
I've been playing now for a couple years, and have accumulated a
substantial portfolio. I don't consider myself in a league with the best, and I'm not as
active a player as I used to be. At one point earlier in 1999, I was number 195 on the
leader board. Slowly but surely I am being passed up, but my portfolio is still growing.
My Portfolio Summary
I wish this was real money :0 Move a few decimal points, add a few
negatives, and that's what my real portfolio would look like.
